Road Trip Mania's End

I have to admit it feels fabulous to be home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the States but are exhausted after the whirlwind tour. We were in fourteen states in five weeks (including ten states in ten days!). I single-handedly drove over 3100 miles, and we traveled another thousand miles or so in other people's cars. Yeah man. No wonder we're completely bushed.

I'm putting up some of our pix on Flickr in the next couple of days, so keep checking!

Week 5 Highlights

  • Playing Cut-throat Uno at the Ippels' in Grand Rapids, Michigan
  • A folk-sing at Scott & Lisa's house, even though we were there so briefly
  • Mass with Will--such a short homile!
  • Soothing down time with Jeff, Amanda, Ethan, and Steph (and their pets)
  • Watching David play Draft with Ben in Columbus, Ohio
  • Laughing at Twelfth Night with David on our first real date in a loooooong time
  • Participating in a children's 4th of July bike parade in Lexington, Virginia
  • Eating a picnic dinner with the family and afterwards enjoying Chicken Run
  • Showing David and Timothy a real fireworks displey
  • Eating Persian food with Steve and Lisa and Washington, DC
  • Watching Lisa pull a tick (!) from Timothy's ear--yuck!!
  • Coming home.

More later...
